About us
The Shires is a true 'hidden gem'! We are tucked away in the beautiful Lincolnshire countryside just outside of Kirton Lindsey, but easily accessible by road. We have developed a great reputation in recent years for the quality and choice of our food, wide range of ales, lagers and wines, friendly service and an atmosphere that always enhances your experience.
We also have one of the best function rooms in Lincolnshire that can cater for 120 people, and that is totally self contained with it's own bar, stage dance floor and toilets. We love being involved in helping you to plan your event, whatever the size or occasion.
We also hold regular entertainment events and support a number of local charities and their fundraising events throughout the year!

Giggles
We had an absolutely amazing experience here! We came for our tea but we bought our 5 month old daughter with us. Straight away we were made to feel welcome by (sorry I didn't catch names) but a blonde lady on the bar. We then was shown to our seats by another lady with brown hair, she was absolutely fantastic! She was complimenting my daughter on how advanced she is, then she started speaking to her in a silly voice making my daughter do giggles that I didn't know she was capable of, it brought a tear to my eye and me and my partner was quick to video it! The lady on the bar was quick to get me a high chair for my daughter and they both continued to make her giggle. It started to get a bit busy and they were waiting on other guests but as they passed they still pulled faces at her! The food came and it was beautiful as always! Very yummy! The place is very clean and tidy, prices are reasonable, and as you can guess I think the staff are fantastic! Thank you for making my daughter so h
Family Friendly
Such a fantastic family friendly pub/restaurant with great home cooked food. We visited this afternoon, three adults and a child. The staff were very attentive and the food was delicious! Really good portions. Deserts to die for. The landlord was really friendly. He even gave my 3 year old niece an Easter egg as a treat for being a good girl. Safe to say we will continue to eat here, Happy customers, Thank you.
